Cerflor (Brazilian Forestry Certification Program): consists of Brazilian certification standards for stewardship and the chain of custody. It is managed by the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) and recognized by the Program of Endorsement of Forestry Certification (PEFC), an NGO dedicated to promoting forestry practices that respect ecological, social and ethical precepts and which is one of the largest certification systems in the world.

European Ecolabel Flower: created in 1992, this certification aims to encourage the sustainability of products and services. It certifies that the product is manufactured in accordance with established principles governing atmospheric emissions, hydro emissions, energy consumption in the production process, environmental risks related to the use of hazardous chemicals and the management of sustainable forests.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC): an international NGO represented in Brazil by the Brazilian Forest Stewardship Council – FSC Brasil. Its mission is to promote and facilitate the good management of Brazilian forests in accordance with principles and criteria that align ecological restrictions with social benefits and economic feasibility. In the 1990s, it became one of the most highly-regarded seals of approval in the world and one of the most important for the forestry sector. Today it represents a driving force for good production practices by endorsing products that result from sustainable management, which are transferred to the production chain by the Chain of Custody number, attesting to the forest provenance of the processed product. IP has been a member of FSC Brasil since 2010 and in 2012 it joined the organization's Standards Development Committee.

ISO* 9001: a set of internationally recognized technical standards that establish the requirements for the Quality Management System, adding credibility to IP’s internal processes and products.

ISO* 14001: a set of technical standards that seeks to establish, with the involvement of the whole Organization, an Environmental Management System that helps to strike a balance between profitability and a reduction of environmental impacts throughout the entire production process.

OHSAS 18001: an audit specification for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. It seeks to promote a healthy and safe working environment through the identification and mitigation of related risks. It is compatible with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.

International Paper’s social and environmental commitment and rigorous forestry and industrial processes are attested to by its important certifications, which are globally recognized by the market. For consumers, these are additional guarantees of the quality and provenance of IP's products. And for the Organization, they ensure its continued presence in its existing markets as well as it entry into new markets.

IP is committed to continually improving its ISO* 9001 certification, given that it guarantees the quality and provenance of products in the manufacturing process, while ISO* 14001 shows stakeholders that the Organization is managing its environmental impacts in a consistent manner.
