Orsa IP has an annual production capacity of 366,000 tons of paper for packaging, and 360,000 tons of corrugated cardboard for boxes and sheets.

In January 2013, International Paper and Jari Celulose Papel e Embalagens, an Orsa Group company, began operations of Orsa International Paper Embalagens, the newest company in the Brazilian packaging market.

As a result of the transaction, the new company absorbed the Orsa Group’s packaging assets, comprising three packaging paper mills and four corrugated cardboard plants (as shown in the chart below).

IP invested around US$470 million to acquire a 75% interest in the new company. In March 2014, the Organization acquired the remaining stake and now owns 100% of Orsa IP’s capital.

Pallet System – Trans Pack technology: a light and resistant product, not only does it replace conventional wooden pallets, but it also has an excellent performance. It speeds up loading and unloading and optimizes the loading space, in addition to being environment-friendly.

Slip Sheet – Trans Pack technology: made from softwood pulp, this product is highly resistant to traction, being ideal for replacing conventional pallets during material handling, loading, unloading and storage.

Container Packaging – Trans Pack technology: packaging solutions developed in accordance with the most rigorous quality standards, allowing the storage and handling of bulky products that require high resistance during transportation.

Standard Pack – Trans Pack technology: packaging for the handling and transportation of materials in general, being ideal for use in the entire industrial supply chain.

Duo Pack –Trans Pack and Color Pack technologies: Bag-in-box. This solution ensures the perfect storage of liquid or viscous products, enabling their secure transportation in highly-resistant plastic bags with capacities ranging from 5 to 1,000 liters.

Packaging for Proteins: Modular packages for frozen and refrigerated food. Available in various shapes and sizes, they are subjected to special waterproofing treatment and contain resins that are resistant to low temperatures. Can be used in manual and automatic lines.

One Touch – Trans Pack and Color Pack technologies: modular packaging for the produce market. With a special design and a wide range of shapes and sizes. The product is available in standardized packages that are perfect for storing and handling all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Its printing system, in up to six colors (or five colors with gloss), ensures excellent point-of-sale brand exposure.

Multifunctional Packaging – Trans Pack and Color Pack technologies: multifunctional packaging used in the entire supply chain, from product storage to point of sale. It enables safe transport and also has a strong visual appeal. It also eliminates the need for loading packaging, ensuring greater handling and storage flexibility.

Artpack Packaging – Color Pack technology: produced through advanced direct printing on corrugated cardboard, this product combines the resistance of corrugated cardboard with maximum color and shine.

Special products – Color Pack technology: produced through advanced direct printing on corrugated cardboard, these packages are ideal for adding value to products and brands. They combine strong visual appeal to attract potential customers with high-resolution images and the convenience of corrugated cardboard.


Main brands and products

Orsa IP employs two technologies that ensure supply for the entire production chain, meeting specific handling and transport needs, as well as transforming packaging into an important marketing and sales tool.

The first, Orsa Trans Pack, combines high resistance and safety and is used for handling and transporting materials through products such as Orsa Pallet System, Orsa Slip Sheet, Orsa Container Pack and Orsa Standard Pack.

The second, Orsa Color Pack, combines the resistance of corrugated cardboard with best printing resolution and brightness. It offers exclusive graphic resources that add value to the product at the point of sale, transforming packaging into an important marketing tool. This technology is applied in the Orsa Art Pack and Orsa Stand Sale products.

Orsa IP also offers products that combine the benefits of both technologies, high resistance and excellent printing quality, such as Orsa Duo Pack, Orsa Frost System, Orsa Platô System and Orsa Multi Pack.
