Eternit carries out its business in accordance with the laws, regulations and its internal policies, so that the Company continues to grow in accordance with good Corporate Governance practices. Ethics

As soon as they join the Eternit Group, new employees are trained in the application of the Code of Ethics and related policies.  They are made thoroughly familiar with the Company's behavioural rules which aim to see that business is conducted in accordance with human rights and in compliance with the Group's principal ethical and anticorruption practices. On the day of their admission to Eternit, employees receive the Employees Manual, which contains important information for integration within the Company, such as staff management policies, benefits, code of ethics, among others, to be consulted at any time. Eternit also has a publication called O Telhadinho, which is a monthly pamphlet distributed at its headquarters and at its plants, to disseminate concepts related to human rights and the UN Global Compact. This, together with the other companies which make up the Group, encourages reporting on cases of disrespect for the Code of Ethics, such as for example discrimination of employees, in a confidential manner, through one of the channels listed below. In 2010 no cases of this nature were reported in any of the companies of the group. Should they occur, those involved are subject to disciplinary sanctions, including dismissal. SO4 HR4
