Investments

To ensure the provision of efficient, quality services that satisfy the public and our Shareholders, Odebrecht Ambiental invests in the development of modern water supply and wastewater collection and treatment systems. In 2014, the Company invested more than R$1 billion in infrastructure projects, not including the acquisition of new businesses. The majority of the investments were directed at projects in the Water and Wastewater and Utilities segments, given that the Waste segment operates in the provision of services, requiring a lower volume of investments. Of note are the investments to expand the wastewater treatment system in Saneatins, the PPP with Compesa to provide universal service in the Metropolitan Region of Recife and the sub-delegation contract for the provision of wastewater services in Goiás.

In 2015, Odebrecht Ambiental's investments are expected to further increase with the recently awarded contracts. One example is the PPP to expand the Manso River system in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.
