Management and Board Getting to know the leaders of our Company The executive officers are the legal representatives and are mainly responsible for the day-to-day management of the business and for implementing the general policies and guidelines set forth in the Company’s bylaws and by its shareholders and board of directors. The board of directors is its decision-making body responsible for formulating general guidelines and policies for its business, including its long term strategies. Among other things, the Company's board of directors is responsible for appointing and supervising its executive officers. Below are our executive officers and our board director:



Executive Officers:

Carlos Medeiros - CEO
Mr. Medeiros holds a bachelor's degree in finance and foreign trade from New York University, and has completed the TGPM Program at Harvard Business School. He joined the GP Group in 1998, and has been a partner thereof since 2002. He serves as a member of the board of directors of GP Investments Ltd., Gafisa S.A., Tele Norte Leste Participações S.A. and Contax Participações S.A. He previously served as a member of the board of directors of Lupatech S.A., Kuala S.A., Pegasus Telecom S.A. and Internet Group (iG) Inc. He was an associate at Salomon Brothers Inc. in New York from 1994 to 1998.

Leandro Bousquet – CFO and IR Director
Mr. Bousquet holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 1994 and has completed the EPEC Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Bousquet has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate sector, particularly in the areas of investment and debt transactions, having previously worked for UBS Pactual before joining BRMALLS. He was also previously responsible for proprietary investments at Banco CR2 and Banco BBM. Mr. Bousquet serves both as chief financial officer and investor relations officer.

Ruy Kameyama – COO
Mr. Kameyama holds a bachelor´s degree in Economics from IBMEC-Rio in 1998 and a master´s degree from Harvard Business School in 2005. In BRMALLS Mr. Kameyama has served as general manager in the Operations and M&A areas. Prior to working for BRMALLS, he served in the M&A area of Spoleto Franchising (2005-2006) and was an associate of Dresdner Kleinwort investment bank (1998-2003).

Luiz Alberto Quinta – CCO and CDO

Mr. Quinta holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Universidade Federal de Goiás in 1981, a graduate degree in administration from IBMEC- Rio de Janeiro in 2001 and in business management from FGV - Rio de Janeiro in 2005, with extension in the University of California, Irvine campus. In 2009 he concluded the Executive Development Program - EDP at University of Pennsylvania - Wharton. Mr. Luiz Quinta has 22 years of experience in the management of shopping centers., he worked as Multiplan Group’s COO before joining BRMALLS.

Board of Directors:

Richard Paul Matheson - Chairman
Mr. Matheson holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidade Gama Filho. He joined ECISA in 1960, and became chief financial officer and a shareholder in the mid-1960s. In 2000, he became president of ECISA.

Fersen Lamas Lambranho - Director
Mr. Lambranho is a Co-chairman and Co-CEO of GP. He joined the Firm in 1998 and became a MD thereof in 1999. Prior to joining GP, Mr. Lambranho was CEO of Lojas Americanas S.A., where he worked for 12 years and where he served as a Director from 1998 to 2003. Currently, he serves as a member of the board of directors of Magnesita, BR Properties, BRMalls, Allis, San Antonio, Estácio and Invest Tur. He previously served as a member of the board of directors of Tele Norte Leste Participações S.A., Gafisa, São Carlos Empreendimentos e Participações S.A., ABC Supermercados, Playcenter, Shoptime and Americanas.com S.A. Mr. Lambranho holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and a master’s degree in business administration from COPPEAD-UFRJ. He also completed the Owner President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Thomas Joseph McDonald – Director
Mr. McDonald holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Notre Dame. He began working for Equity International in 1999, having previously worked for Anixter International, a provider of infrastructure for networks and services. Mr. McDonald is currently a vice president at Equity International and is responsible for its new and existing investments. He is a director of several companies in Equity International's portfolio and an alternate director at Homex Development Corp., one of the largest Mexican homebuilders.

David J. Contis - Director
Mr. Contis holds a bachelor's degree in law and finance from De Paul University, Chicago, IL and has been, since November 2006, working for Equity Group Investments as a Real Estate President, providing asset management services and strategic counsel to Sam Zell, EGI's founder and Chairman, regarding real estate investments. Prior to that, he worked, from April 1997 to October 2006 to the Macerich Company, as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, mobilizing, guiding and leading senior management team to establish one of the US largest and most successful shopping center REITs. Prior to joining Macerich, Mr. Contis worked, from January 1980 to May 1997, to various affiliates companies of Equity Group Investments Inc.

José Écio Pereira da Costa Jr – Independent Director

Graduated with a B.A Business Administration at the Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo of Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Bacharelor´s degree in Accountancy at the Faculdade São Judas Tadeu. He isthe founder of JEPereira Consultoria em Gestão de Negócios (a business consulting firm) established in January, 2008. The firm is dedicated towards strategic management, consulting services to companies and shareholders interested in being admitted to Bovespa Novo Mercado, besides participating as an advisor in Auditing and Administrative Councils of Public Companies. He started his auditing career in 1974 and became an Arthur Andersen & Co partner in 1986 and later in June, 2002 was admitted as an audit partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Brazil, where he retired in June, 2007.

José Marcio Camargo - Independent Director
Graduated in Economics at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1970) and PHD (1977) in Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since 1978, he is the Professor responsible for the Economics Department of Pontifícia Universidade Católica at Rio de Janeiro. He has worked as a consultant for international organizations such as, The World Bank, The Interamerican Development Bank, The International Labor Organization and The United Nations University. He was a partner of Tendências Consultoria Integrada and is currently partner of Opus Gestão de Recursos.
